How we work, from first visit to finished floor
Whatever your floor needs, whether that’s reviving, repairing or replacing, here’s how we do it. Every step is handled by us, with as little disruption to your home as possible.

Six simple steps

A proper look at your floor
We come and see your floor in person, assess its condition, listen to what you want from it and give you a clear quote. No pressure, and no surprises later.

Agreeing the right work
We recommend the right approach honestly: sanding and restoration, targeted repairs, or a new installation. Only ever what your floor genuinely needs, never the most expensive option.

Preparing the room
The room needs to be clear, but you're not on your own. We ask you to take up rugs and move smaller items, we help with heavy pieces where we can, and we protect doorways and neighbouring rooms.

Carrying out the work
Done with the same care, the right materials and a tidy site. Where we're sanding, our dust-free system captures up to 98% of airborne dust, so your home stays clean throughout.

Finishing and the final result
We apply your chosen finish, usually several coats of hard-wearing lacquer, protecting the wood and bringing out its natural grain.

Curing and aftercare
We let the floor cure properly before furniture goes back, then give you simple advice to keep it looking its best for years.

How far ahead should I book?
It depends on the season and the size of the job. Busier periods do fill up, so it's worth getting in touch sooner rather than later, but whenever you speak to Jack and the team, we'll be open about our current availability and find a slot that suits you.

We're based in Otley and cover Leeds, Ilkley, Harrogate, Skipton, Bradford, York and the wider Yorkshire region.
